adult ministries

Community Groups are an essential part of our church, as they provide a place where deeper fellowship and better support for one another can take place. Considering that the early church worshipped in large settings in the synagogues as well as in homes, we unite together similarly in order to be in deeper fellowship with God and one-another. God has reconciled us not only to Himself but also to each other. This "each other" is called His Church. Thus, we intentionally strive toward community through men's/women's groups, home gatherings, and other personal settings.

community groups

We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.

women's ministry

The women's ministry at Skyland Baptist Church is one of the most active ministries in the church. They serve constantly, pray continuously, and facilitate so many ministry opportunities.

They host a fun event called Chicks and Chatter the first Thursday night of every month, and various other events throughout the year. For more information, call the church office.

quote-left

AND LET US CONSIDER HOW WE MAY SPUR ONE ANOTHER ON TOWARD LOVE AND GOOD DEEDS. LET US NOT GIVE UP MEETING TOGETHER, AS SOME ARE IN THE HABIT OF DOING, BUT LET US ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER - AND ALL THE MORE AS YOU SEE THE DAY APPROACHING.

Hebrews 10:24-25

men's ministry

We have a thriving men's ministry at Skyland Baptist Church. We believe in spurring each other on in accountability, truth, and service for the sake of the Gospel. We are active in evangelism, Bible study, and our communities.

We host a Bible study at the church on Wednesday nights at 6pm, a men's breakfast the first Friday of every month, and various events throughout the year. We'd love for you to be a part of our ministry.
